Everyday’s like a Saturday morning.

Hahaha. David Lynch doesnt answer questions – he tells stories with his hands and you forget what you came for.
The budget, eh? Have I told you about the puppies…?

“Puppy dogs with tails wagging” He nailed it.

I wish my tail was waging

My respect for Lynch is now on a very VERY high level.

Yea… simply said: “It’s not what happens to us – it’s how we see it.”

and it is exactly that perspective and way of thinking that will keep *your* reality that way….that is the beauty of it…the gift of life, you actually get to choose how you think, and in *that* is the power of life.

The beauty of your life is a matter of (personal)perception. With that being said, every day CAN be a “saturday morning”.

Your opinion and attitude will control your reality (which isn’t absolute)
Good for him and his positive attitude.

well that video was pretty much a bunch of crap
he’s inspiring
but he needs a reality check
what he talks about doesn’t happen these days
not everyone gets along
we’re not puppy dogs with our tails wagging
the world is not “fantastic”
people need to make a living
family>filmaking

A wise, funny, and beautiful man

It’s funny that a lot of people compare my videos to a mixture of Lynch and Fincher. I don’t really think they resemble them that much at all.

Everyday is like a Saturday morning. You’ve got a great feeling and it grows and grows and grows.
(…)
We’re supposed to all get along and we’re supposed to all have so much fun
like puppy dogs, just happy, our tails just wagging like this.
And it’s supposed to be great living, it’s supposed to be fantastic.

The thing is, I think in anything we do, this mindset can be applied. He is a very wise man.

Having that mindset while dealing with the many, many pressures one has while trying to make a film the way it feels that it should be made is challenging, but very good advice. It is so easy to succumb to pressures that could influence a film in the wrong direction. Peace and calm of mind and emotions sound wonderful on a set. I will add that it takes guts but the sooner it’s adopted the better.

And kind, too. We should probably listen to what he’s saying….
