3D animation celebrating NASA Mission STS-130, the February 8-22, 2010 Space Shuttle Endeavour flight to deliver the last modular additions for the International Space Station (ISS), the Tranquility node and the Cupola and also lamenting the end of the Space Shuttle program in mid 2011. The animation is not meant to be realistic but rather a romantic and wistful look at an amazing era of near-space technology. There is nothing scientifically accurate about the colors, scale, positions, rotations, nebulas etc all of which are altered or enhanced for effect. Credits: I’ve made some small modifications to the NASA (USA taxpayers) 3D Models of the ISS and Shuttle. The galaxies and nebulas are Hubble Telescope (USA taxpayers) Images. The earth and Moon surface maps are from oera.net. The earth specularity map and Moon bump map are from planetpixelemporium.com.
